Chapter 2: In The End Nobody Really Cares About You!
Stop taking yourself too seriously or most especially other people’s opinion too seriously, in the end nobody really cares about you!
This is so true! a lot of times we bother our minds, trouble ourselves over things that nobody really cares about!
“You’re in a seminar and let’s say you stood up to answer a question or ask a question and then of all moments, that was the moment that your vocal chords chose to start break dancing.”
“Or that moment when you’re called out in an assembly and you fall like Humpty Dumpty”
Trust me, I know how embarrassing that feels, but you shouldn’t allow that embarrassment follow you throughout your whole day! after that event make sure you drop the embarrassment in the nearest trash bin!
Why, take a look at two reasons:
First of all, it will most likely ruin your whole day and maybe everyone in it e.g it may spoil your world.
Another reason, is that Nobody really cares, most of the time after the event most people have forgotten and have moved on with their lives. Everyone has their own problems and they can care less, so why give yourself the headache! I know it’s not as easy as it sounds because nobody may really understand how you felt and they might still tease you but really what difference does it make?
Let me tell you a secret,
In the end your feelings of guilt, embarrassment, shame still 100% depends on you and whether you’re willing to let go and forgive yourself! No matter how much people mocked you, it wouldn’t matter one bit if you just choose to look inwards let go of the issue from within, then you will be truly happy and they will be powerless, the event would be powerless! Think about it!
